Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for Mushroom Plantation Sites describes the functionality provided by the control system of a mushroom house. The control system is a computerized, intelligent network of electronic devices, designed to monitor and control the mechanical and electrical systems in a mushroom house. RMS core functionality keeps the building climate within a specified range, keep parameters based on an occupancy schedule, and monitors system performance and device failures. |
| Abstract: |
The RMS functionability reduces building energy and maintenance costs when compared to a non-controlled building. RMS manage the environment within the building and may control temperature and humidity within a specified range. RMS systems are a critical component to managing energy demand and typically represent 40% of a building's energy usage. The RMS for mushroom plantation sites is integrated between PIC, electronics devices and graphical user interface. The parameters need to be controlled in mushroom house is a temperature and humidity. All the input parameters is coming from a sensor. |
The output is an exhaust fans, lighting and water sprinkler pump. There is an alarm system to alert when the temperature or humidity is above the set value. The sequence of the system is controlled by a PIC16F877A which monitor and gives a feedback. The Visual Basic (VB) Page represent as a graphical user interface for this RMS system. All the parameter value will appear in the VB page. The MOXA N-Port 5150 web server reacts as a signal converter from a serial communication to Ethernet. The programming language is in C language to programmed the PIC. The VB page was programmed by using object-oriented programming language which develop by Microsoft. There is the LCD to appear a value without using the VB page. The LCD programmed by using C language. |
